Done!!!  Started December 21, 2013, finished December 27, 2013. This was a fun, easy embroidery project.  Basically trace the letters with the wash out pen, then use the thread to trace them.  Smaller stitches work better, as they allow the letters to flow as if they were written.  The dots overhead of several of the letters were done with two stitches in each spot.  My biggest fear was getting it wet or moist and the letters disappearing.  I did take the sheet I had printed with me, and referred back to it several times to confirm the direction of the point on some of the letters, as well as how long the “tail” was on others (such as the M’s and Y’s).

Now on to block #2.  I’m going to make the door from Moria next.  Instead of tracing onto linen however I am going to use a wash out paper called Trace Away.  You trace the design onto the paper, then lightly tack it to the fabric with some stitches and then stitch along the lines on the paper.  Once you are done, you wash the fabric and the paper goes away, leaving behind your stitching lines.  Wish me luck!!!
